Aggregate Impact Value (AIV)
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Aggregate Impact Testing Machine is used to determine the aggregate impact value (AIV) which provides a relative measure of the resistance of an aggregate to sudden shock or impact.
Device comes as a set with below accesories
- A cylindrical steel cup, having an internal diameter 102 ± 0.5 mm
and an internal depth of 50 ± 0.25 mm.
- The cup has a fastener at the center of the base and can be easily
removed for emptying.
- A freely sliding hammer with a falling height of 380 ± 5 mm and can
be adjustable within 5 mm.
- A Cylindrical metal measure, internal Ø75 ± 1 mm and an internal depth of 50 ± 1 mm.
- A tamping rod, Ø16 mm and 600 mm long, with both ends hemispherical.
There is a safety pin for supporting the hammer on top, whilst fastening or removing the cup.
